Inspect the outside grounds.

• Are there any building materials, scrap wood, discarded household items, etc. that should be removed?
• Are garbage cans stored outside or in the garage?  It is recommended that garbage cans be stored in the garage or in an exterior area that can't be seen from the front of the home. 

Check the home from the roof line down.

• Is the roof free and clear from obstructions and leaves?
• Are the gutters clean and do they appear properly installed?
• Are the windows clean and free from obstructions (such as overgrown bushes or trees)?
• Are bushes, trees and shrubs neatly pruned?

Inspect the condition of the paint or siding.

• Is it time to power wash the siding?
• Is touch up paint needed?
• Do you see paint peeling anywhere, such as the fascia or soffit areas?
• Is the front door in good shape?
• Is the color of the home relatively neutral and/or desirable for the area?  For example, some areas are known for unusual colors that don't fit in other areas.

Do flower beds need an upgrade?

• Are plants neatly pruned?
• Are the plant beds free and clear of weeds?
• Are the beds properly mulched?
• Are flowers in bloom?

Keep the lawn neatly groomed.

• Is the lawn free from weeds and grass clippings?
• Is the lawn green?  Does it need re-sodding anywhere?
• Is the lawn mowed and neatly edged?
