If you haven't noticed the recent progress on the Vilano Town Center project, my recommendation is to go check it out.  This past week they began landscaping with palm trees, large shrubs, and ground cover.  They started with the West side of Vilano Road and are moving East.  What has been completed to this point looks fabulous!  It is very exciting to see daily changes occurring in this extremely unique location.

Most of the colored pavers in the sidewalk areas along Vilano Road have been installed as well. They look GREAT!  There is much work still to be done, but phenomenal progress is being made.  I would like to thank all the folks with the Vilano Beach Main Street Planning group who have spent so much time planning these projects and working with St. Johns County, along with other organizations to make this happen! 

We are, of course, still anxiously awaiting the start of construction for the Publix grocery store and the Water's Edge mixed use project.  It has been delayed for various reasons, however I am hoping that we will see construction begin within a few months.

It's a very exciting time to live in the North Shores area!
